208456 RESEARCH STATISTICIAN (Temporary/Full-Time), Jackson Heart Study; SALARY-$60,241 per annum. QUALIFICATIONS: This position will assume the responsibility for assisting in the development of Statistical Analysis Plans to include: statistical methodology, statistical programming procedures, definition of derived variables, data-handling rules and mockup. Applicant must have a Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics or Biostatistics with two (2) to five (5) years of postgraduate experience in the application of statistics to large epidemiological or clinical research data; Applicant should be SAS proficient (SAS/Base, SAS/STAT and SAS/Macro) including the use of a variety of advance statistical procedures (i.e. non-parametric analysis, linear and non-linear models, categorical data and survival); Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills. 208180 SAS PROGRAMMER (Temporary/Full-Time), Jackson Heart Study; SALARY-$58,350 per annum. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree with five (5) to ten (10) years of advanced SAS programming experience utilizing complex databases, SAS/Base, SAS/STAT and SAS/Macro (Master's degree and two (2) to five (5) years of experience is preferred); Applicant will assume the responsibility for SAS programming in the areas of data analysis and generating statistical reports; Applicant will be expected to have large database experience, create derived dataset, develop standard and non-standard tables and listings using standard programs and SAS, validate SAS programs, load SAS outputs into electronic document systems, basic knowledge of statistics and good communication skills.
